Queen Mary 2Crossing the ocean was a grand event unto itself, the very embodiment of sophistication and privilege. And traveling Cunard was what one naturally chose for such a voyage.
Qm2 Cunard's glorious ocean liners were floating palaces of art deco splendor and Edwardian excess, surrounding guests with every comfort and luxury.
Cunard Line is proud to announce that Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter James Taylor and his band will perform during Queen Mary 2’s June 19 eastbound Transatlantic Crossing. Sailing from New York to Southampton, England, Taylor will headline two Cunard Command Performances in the ship’s Royal Court Theatre during the six-day journey. (Space is still available to book this very special voyage!)
The Kennedy Center Chamber Players Nigel Boon
Cunard, the Official Cruise Line of the National Symphony Orchestra, is pleased to announce that members of The Kennedy Center Chamber Players, as well as the Director of Artistic Planning for the National Symphony Orchestra, Nigel Boon, will be joining the September 8, 2009 Transatlantic Crossing on-board QM2.
The Kennedy Center Chamber Players, a group of National Symphony Orchestra principals, has earned extraordinary praise since its debut in 2003. Described by the Washington Post as “a new must-see chamber ensemble,” the group will delight Queen Mary 2 guests with their outstanding performances.
Mr. Boon will also be available to share stories from his extensive career in music publishing, production, marketing and management. These special appearances will be presented as part of Cunard’s award-winning enrichment program, Cunard Insights.
Your clients can reserve a place now on the September 8, 2009 Transatlantic Crossing or the 24-day Grand Mediterranean Highlights voyage to enjoy this musical adventure.
QM2 was the quintessence of luxury travel, and getting there was truly half the fun.
