Dear Fellow Traveler,
As we begin the New Year, many of our clients ask me “What happened to all the great last minute cruise deals?”
The economy is strong, the cruise lines are enjoying very strong demand, and the cruise line executives sleep much better knowing that they do not have a lot of inventory still unsold at the last minute.
The industry has taken a new marketing approach that we refer to as product “bundling.” For instance, NCL features 4 amenities such as the Premium Cocktail Package, Un-Limited Specialty Dining, Complimentary Shore Excursions, and Un-limited WiFi.
Depending on the length of the cruise, and the type of cabin that you book, you get between 1 and all 4 of the offers. On the Norwegian Sky, which sails 3 and 4 day cruises to the Caribbean, they have included all adult beverages in the cruise prices which start at $399.
Royal Caribbean has adopted a permanent BOGO Sale, Buy 1 at the regular price and get the second passenger at 50% off. Plus you will receive between $50 and $300 in on-board spending, again depending on the length of the cruise and the type of cabin.
if you love that new ship smell, you can be one of the first passengers to sail on Holland America’s brand new ship, the Koningsdam. the US inaugural will be November 9; a special 4 night sailing to the Bahamas. Rates are $598.50 per person for an outside stateroom and $548.50 per person for an inside stateroom.
As always, if we can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. (770.261.8605)
