Monarch of the Seas

Monarch of the Seas

CocoCay is a wonderland of adventure. Reserved exclusively for Royal Caribbean guests, this tropical paradise has recently been updated with new aquatic facilities, nature trails and a ton of great places to just sit back, relax and enjoy a tropical drink.

For a city now known for its warming sun and balmy breezes, Nassau has a tumultuous past. First settled by the English, the area was contested by England, France and Spain.

For many years, Nassau was a home base for notorious pirates, and it was burned to the ground by the Spanish three different times. Since 1740, however, visitors from all over the world in search of both relaxation and adventure have made Nassau their favorite destination.

Freedom of the Seas

The town of Ocho Rios, on Jamaica’s north coast, is edged with beautiful white-sand beaches and unbelievable landscapes.

Just west of downtown Ocho Rios, you’ll discover one of Jamaica’s most famous waterfalls - Dunn’s River Falls. The cool mountain waters plunge 600 feet to smooth limestone beds, then stream under the roadway before mingling with the turquoise Caribbean Sea.

String Ray City

Grand Cayman is one of a group of three islands Christopher Columbus called the turtles for the sea creatures he found in the ocean water.

Experience a once-in-a-lifetime adventure: snorkeling with stingrays at Stingray City Sandbar.

Get away from it all and enjoy a great island-style day out at the Rum Point Club, situated on the picturesque north side of the island.

Located 12 miles off the southern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, Cozumel is known as the gem of the Mexican Caribbean. Perhaps its name reflects the fact that its temperate, crystal clear waters range in jewel tones from stunning turquoise to deep indigo.

Dos Ojos Caves
Just off the mainland, the famous caverns, or cenotes, of the spectacular Dos Ojos Cave System provide an unforgettable glimpse of ocean architecture.

Tulum Ruins
Tulum is the only Mayan city built overlooking the sea. From its sacred alters to its city’s infrastrature, it’s clear that this ancient civilization was truly advanced.

Chankanaab National Marine Park
See the amazing sea lions perform at a show or swim and snorkel with the dolphins at this marine life utopia.

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands
365 days of crystal-clear warm water and almost no current give Grand Cayman the ideal conditions for diving and snorkeling. You’ll be amazed at the breathtaking marine life and seascapes that provide underwater photographers with subject matter beyond compare. Even those who don’t want to get wet can experience awesome sea viewing from the comfort of a submarine.

Stingray Sandbar
For a real thrill, try snorkeling with the world-famous stingrays at Stingray Sandbar. It’s a must-do experience!

Cayman Turtle Farm
Visit the world’s only green sea turtle hatchery. Here you’ll see turtles in all stages of development, from tiny hatchlings that you can hold in your hands, to adults weighing over 600 pounds.

Hell Town
For the truly brave, wander down the road to the quirky town of Hell, where you’ll see the unusual jagged rock formations that inspired the town’s name. A postcard sent from here will have a truly unforgettable postmark.

Princess Cays, Bahamas
The tiny island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas is home to the private beach party hosted exclusively for Princess guests. A full day of fun in the sun offers something for every member of the family from snorkeling, kayaking, sailing and floating to lingering over drinks and a delicious barbecue.

Princess Cays
Princess Cruises’ private beach serves up a good time, including a coral reef with schools of tropical fish, a special area dedicated to children’s activities, water sports equipment, relaxing music, bar facilities, and lunch!

Island Activities
Hit the beach and clear waters with snorkeling gear or a floating mattress. Join a basketball game or the action around the volleyball court. Check out the seaboards, aqua bikes, Hobie Cat sailboats, Sunfish sailboats, paddle wheelers, Banana Boats or transparent hull kayaks at the water sports pier. Climb the Crow’s Nest Tower for panoramic views, or shop for local handicrafts.

Beach BBQ
Three bars and live music compliment lunch and the authentic Bahamian barbeque on the beach. Feast on hamburgers, chicken, bratwurst, salads, and fresh fruit. Water, tea and lemonade are available at the picnic area for no additional cost, and a full staff of drink servers is on hand to serve cocktails and soda.

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
It’s the calm turquoise waters of the Caribbean that command attention in St. Thomas — home to both pirates’ legends and tropical fish for centuries. And there’s no shortage of ways to explore the island. Choose your vessel to discover these warm waters, from kayak and catamaran to yacht, turbo-charged jet boat or breathing observation bubble.

Skyline Drive
Located on the ridge of mountains that runs the length of St. Thomas, Skyline Drive offers magnificent views of the British Virgin Islands, the city of Charlotte Amalie and the harbor.

Charlotte Amalie
This capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands was named after the Queen of Denmark. Excellent duty-free markets make it one of the best places in the Caribbean to shop for local handicrafts and goods from around the world.

This cable car ride ends at Paradise Point, an observation deck where frozen specialty drinks called Bushwackers, a creamy blend of liqueurs with whipped cream and nutmeg, are as famous as the view.

Bonnet House
Fort Lauderdale historic residence, the Bonnet House is an impressive estate filled with native southern Floridian plants and imported tropical varietals, including an extensive orchid collection

Ocho Rios, Jamaica
The name Ocho Rios means eight rivers, but the one word to describe Jamaica is inspiring. Its sun-drenched canvas of blue-green mountains, white-sand beaches and turquoise waters makes this island nation one of the most wonderful destinations in all of the Caribbean. From the warm breezes that blow under cloudless blue skies, to the cool waters of the mountain streams that lead to the sea, and the fragrant flowers that drape the rolling hills, Jamaica entices her visitors with a feast for the senses.

Dunn’s River Falls
Visit the falls that cascade down 600 feet of rocky staircase into the Caribbean Sea, and make the climb up the slippery waterfall. You can also kayak, sail or take a four-wheel-drive safari to the falls.

Laughing Waters
Kayak from the Laughing Waters Lagoon to James Bond Beach and Roaring River Falls, or take a river-tubing trip down the White River.

Chukka Cove Beach
Try horseback riding at Chukka Cove Beach, where you can mosey from the white sands right into the calm Caribbean Sea.

St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles
The French and the Dutch signed a treaty in 1648 that divided the island between them. The two sides have distinct cultural characteristics and they spell the island’s name differently, but it’s their differences that add to the charm of this Caribbean hideaway — not to mention some of the most amazing cuisine in the world.

Philipsburg
The Dutch capital of Philipsburg fills a small stretch of land. Its two main roads Front Street and Back Street bisect the city. Front Street’s West Indian architecture offers duty-free shopping of imported goods and native crafts.

Royal Promenade

The Royal Promenade neighborhood - the most expansive promenade at sea - continues
to be the heart of the ship.

The Royal Promenade will have a mezzanine level that overlooks the space below
and adds to the excitement.

It features Rising Tide; a levitating bar that ascends and descends over three decks, and enough shops and restaurants to entertain even the most traveled of travelers. By morning, enjoy a relaxed atmosphere over coffee, and people watch. The ambiance becomes more energetic and vibrant in the afternoon with shopping, lunch, or drinks in the pub. In the evening, the energy rises with parades, nightlife, and entertainment for everyone. It’s a destination unto itself.
