Depart for Rio de Janeiro!

DAY 2
Arrive in Rio de Janeiro and transfer to your hotel of choice.

Today you will be free to explore some of the city’s most vibrant beaches and enchanting seaside board-walks.

Shops, Restaurants, Boutiques, and Jewelers combine for a fun day in the city that never sleeps. Overnight: Enjoy a memorable Supper Carioca Style!

DAY 3
Today, after a hearty breakfast, you will enjoy a panoramic city tour.

You will experience the stunning and spectacular views from Corcovado and the Christ Statue; pass through the Tijuca Tropical Forest that teems with wild-life including various species of monkeys, as well as adventure up the Sugar Loaf Mountain for impressive views of Rio’s beaches and the Guanabara Bay! An Outstanding and memorable day! Overnight in Rio de Janeiro

DAY 4
After your breakfast, you will transfer to the tropical island of Ilha Grande. Located just 2 hours south of Rio de Janeiro city, in a large and scenic bay, you arrive by boat on this fantasy island.

In the afternoon, you can explore the island by sea, sometimes you can take even see the multitude of parrots, toucans, sloths, that this island is famous for, and quite often, you can even swim with the dolphins that like to trail along side the boat to play with its human passengers. Overnight in Ilha Grande.

Day 5
After a nice island breakfast, enjoy your day to relax on one of the islands many beaches or scuba dive or snorkel the coral reefs, or maybe even trek to the exotic interior of the island through well posted eco-trails.

You can even visit the old fortress/prison where pirates and political enemies were imprisoned so many years ago. Overnight in Ilha Grande.

Day 6
After another wonderful breakfast, pass the morning at your leisure. In the afternoon, we will leave the island by boat and find the mainland again. From here, we venture back to the Marvelous City of Rio de Janeiro.  Overnight in Rio de Janeiro!

Day 7
After another fantastic breakfast, carioca style, your morning is free to explore more of the city.
In the early afternoon we next travel a few hours north of the city of Rio and arrive in the exciting seaside resort town of Buzios.

Made famous in the 1960s by the super model Bridgett Bardot, this town offers beautiful unspoiled beaches, a scenic bay for boating and snorkeling, and a variety of trendy shops for the shopper in us all!

Day 8
After a delicious breakfast, your day is free to relax and enjoy the sites and sounds of Buzios! This is the side of “Rio” that most people dream of seeing and enjoying and it is all yours.

Day 9
After another delicious tropical breakfast, we depart Buzios and transfer to the Rio de Janeiro International Airport for your departure.

Day 1
Depart the United States for Brazil!

Day 2
Arrive in Manaus where you will greeted and transferred to your hotel for rest and relaxation! In the afternoon, you can take an optional tour of Manaus City!

During the tour, you will visit the Opera House (Teatro Amazonas), opened in 1896, which is without a doubt one of the main tourist attractions of Manaus.

The Opera House is a symbol of the rubber boom which brought great wealth in those times. Next, after a brief stop in front of Palácio Rio Negro, the old official seat of the State Government and a beautiful example of architecture in the golden rubber period, we will observe the popular houses (palafitas) in the adjacent creeks.

Continuing on, we will next visit the local Indian Museum which is important in understanding the traditions, customs and habits of the indigenous populations of the Amazon and Negro Rivers. Rest of the afternoon free to rest or explore more of this tropical City! Overnight In Manaus!

Day 3
After a delicious breakfast, enjoy some more free time before transferring to the Port area to meet your boat the Amazon Cllipper! At 1430, your adventure begins into the heart of the Amazon!

You will first enjoy a detailed brief of our cruise as we navigate along the Pagodao (a tributary of the Negro River). Shortly before sunset, you will take a thrilling canoe ride and have the chance to see all the nocturnal animals coming out.

Supper will be onboard and is always delicious. Overnight on board your cruise boat.

Day 4
Good morning! We next navigate through the beautiful Anavilhas where we will stop and visit a local Cabloco Village where you will enjoy learning how the Ribeirinho people live and of their traditions and customs.

The Anavilhanas area is wildly fascintaing as it’s the worlds largest fresh water archipelgo and is located more than a 1,000 miles from the Atlantic Ocean! Lunch and good times on board… Overnight and supper on board your cruise boat.

Day 5
After a delicious onboard breakfast, we will leave the boat to visit the village of Novo Airao to enjoy exploring the local markets, the handcrafted boats, and the other exciting activities!

In the afternoon however, the real fun begins as you have the chance to catch real Amazonian Piranha fish, the Amazon region’s most aggressive, and possibly most famous fish! You will even have the chance to swim along with them (they don’t really bite as much as they scare you!).

The day will be capped by a canoe visit of the Lake Acajituba where we will enjoy the local flora which includes rubber trees, Brazil nuts, and several different types of palm trees.

At night, we will observe the Amazon caimans as they come out for their nightly hunt… Overnight on board your cruise boat.

Day 6
Early Morning Wake up Call at 05:30 to admire a huge concert of birds that leave their nightly resting places and face the first rays of dawn with vigor and much noise!

After your last exotic on-board breakfast, we navigate back to Manaus, but only after navigating the mighty Meeting of the Waters! Arrival previews for 1130 a.m. at the Tropical Docks.

From here you will be transferred to the Manaus Airport to meet your flight home.
